a fox 5 viewer sent in a picture of the latest flooding. water flooded the streets again, seeping into basements and business abouts and this is what happened wednesday as well as last week. the low-lying neighborhood it is prone to flooding. sections of t street and rhode island avenue filled with rainwater. it was the same thing on july 11th as torrential rained pounded the neighborhood. water poured into homes and storm drains backed up into the streets. in some cases, water poured out of toilets in homes. an ambulance was barely able to get through the streets. this is flash flooding. these rains come down very quickly. the streets fill up and almost as quickly, it is gone again. d.c. water crews were out in the neighborhood yesterday before the storms arrived trying to prevent more flooding. they were out clearing those to remember drains but clearly, it was not enough to prevent the flood waters from rising again. this neighborhood is dry this morning but, again, people will be spending the day for the third time in just nine days try
